Welcome to SDA digest Issue One and the formal launch of Sydney Dental Academy. This academy has been years in the making and brings together the education work Dr Tom Giblin has been delivering for many years into one clear, structured platform. Our goal is to support dentists beyond university with advanced clinical education, stronger judgement, and greater confidence in practice. Dentistry is both a clinical profession and a small to medium sized business, so SDA education spans clinical excellence, leadership, systems, and business capability.
Dr Tom Giblin will also be bringing his network of mentors and respected educators to the academy. These are clinicians who have influenced and shaped his career over decades. They will be joining SDA for keynote events, courses, and hands on teaching. This includes leading Australian voices and international speakers, allowing Sydney Dental Academy to deliver global standard education locally.
