Sydney Dental Academy
Sydney Dental Academy is based in Frenchs Forest, alongside the Centre for Implant and Restorative Dentistry. The facility includes an 80 seat teaching room with large screens and modern AV, plus adjacent live dental surgeries used for real clinical training. Dentists learn in working practices, not simulations.
The site offers free undercover off street parking and is centrally located, 20 minutes from the city and 15 minutes from Manly.
Sydney Dental Academy is for dentists and dental professionals who care deeply about doing better work.

Why Sydney Dental Academy Exists
Sydney Dental Academy was founded in 2026 by Dr Tom Giblin.
Dr Giblin has been educating dentists informally for many years through mentoring, case discussion, and collaborative learning. Over time, it became clear that dentists were looking for something more structured, practical, and honest. Not another theory driven course. Not polished lectures disconnected from daily practice.
Sydney Dental Academy was created to formalise this education into a dedicated academy. One that brings together experienced clinicians, trusted mentors, and selected international educators to share how they actually think, plan, and make decisions in complex cases.
The focus is simple. Help dentists make better decisions and feel more confident in their work.

About Dr Tom Giblin
Dr Giblin graduated Dentistry from Sydney University with Honours in 2004. In 2007, after time in private practice, he was accepted into a three year Advanced Prosthodontics Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, widely regarded as the leading program of its kind.
His training spans implant dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics, sleep dentistry, occlusion, and TMD. He is trained in both the restorative and surgical aspects of implant treatment, including complex bone and soft tissue grafting.
Since returning to Australia, Dr Giblin has established practices on Sydneyā€™s Northern Beaches and in regional New South Wales. He is known for a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment planning that considers the full clinical picture, long term outcomes, and how dentistry fits into a patientā€™s life over time.
