Occlusion One is a focused two day course that has been widely praised by dentists for its clarity, structure, and practical relevance. Dr Giblin has taught occlusion courses for many years, earning a strong reputation among peers for making complex concepts understandable and clinically useful. We are excited to now bring this highly regarded course to Sydney Dental Academy.
Over two full days, Dr Giblin takes you step by step through occlusion from first principles, building understanding that directly supports better restorative decisions and long term outcomes in practice.
- Master Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
- Across the two days, you will work through
- How occlusion really works, explained through anatomy and biomechanics
- How jaw movement, tooth contact, and force distribution interact
- Why occlusion influences wear, comfort, restoration failure, and longevity
- How common occlusal problems develop over time
- Clear methods to assess occlusion in everyday patients
- How to integrate occlusal thinking into restorative planning with confidence
This is not a rule based or shortcut driven course. The focus is on understanding. You learn how to think about occlusion, not memorise protocols.
The course is highly hands on and taught using articulators, making learning visual, practical, and tactile. Concepts that are often confusing or fragmented are brought together into a clear framework you can apply immediately.
