Advanced Occlusal Knowledge Leading to More Predictable Outcomes.

Occlusion Two is the essential follow on to Occlusion One. This is where you take theory learned in the first course and apply it to your everyday dentistry.

This course is 2 days of hands on practical teaching.  There will be a short refresher from Occlusion One, then on to practical exercises including waxing up occlusal anatomy on articulators, doing similar in composite resin, before doing an anterior rehab including smile design and building optima; anterior guidance.  The focus is on practical knowledge, not theory.

What this course is about

  • Understanding occlusal forces and managing them in your restorations.
  • Occlusal design- different theories and when to use them
  • Diagnosing occlusal issues and how to address them
  • Designing restorations that work in harmony with the patient
  • Choosing the appropriate materials for the restorations
  • The complementary digital workflows to these analogue techniques
  • Case studies to demonstrate these principles being put into practice
